새 담임목사 취임예배
뉴저지 버겐카운티 엘름우드 팍에 있는 한인1.5세,2세들의 영어권 교회인 리버사이드 커뮤니티 처치가 4월 21일 주일 오후4시에 새담임목사 Rev. John Lee의 취임예배를 드렸다.
수개월 동안 공석 이었던 담임목사를 새로 맞게된 리버사이드 교인들은 환영과 축제의 분위기 속에서 취임예배에 임하고 있었다.
이날 취임예배에서 말씀을 선포한 Rev. David E. Cooper 목사는 “Be Strong and Courageous – All Ya’ll “(여호수아 1: 1-9) 라는 제목으로 “강하고 담대하라”는 말씀은 하나님께서 우리에게 하신 명령이다. 리버사이드 처치가 강하고 담대함으로 하나님의 뜻을 이루어 가기 위해서는 “Pray for your Pastor”, “Pray for eachother”해야 할것을 강조하며 목사님의 리더십을 위해 특별히 기도하라고 당부했다.
뉴저지일원의 E.M 목회자들이 이날 취임예배에 참여하여 취임집례와 축사 , 권면등의 순서에 참여하여 John Lee 목사의 취임을 축하했다.

Dr. Lee came to the U.S. In 1974, graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. In Engineering and received his Master of Management from University of Southern California. Before entering seminary, he worked at Boeing, Exxon-Mobil, and Ernst & Young. He received his Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Afterwards, Dr. Lee served at St. John’s KUMC and Boston Presbyterian Church, and planted New Life Mission Church in Boston. He is a board member and a former President of Bridge Builders Global which has many missionaries globally and sends hundreds of short term missionaries to Southeast Asia annually. Dr. Lee and his family spent the last 2 years in Jakarta, Indonesia where he served as the Vice President of Development and International Relations at the Universitas Pelita Harapan.
He is married to Sarah SMN who is also a graduate of University of Southern California and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She was actively involved in Navigator and Campus Crusade for Christ in the Los Angeles area.
